Identify the discipline and deliverables
Engineering can mean feasibility studies, design, inspection, asset assessment or construction support. Search for your discipline separately after exploring these previews. Identify the expected reports, drawings, calculations and review stages rather than estimating from the notice title alone.
Match the named team to the criteria
Check professional licensing, relevant experience, language, security and availability requirements for the work location. The buyer may score particular people and projects. Confirm that proposed specialists can commit to the timetable and that any subcontracting arrangement fits the solicitation.
Allow for review and fieldwork
Site investigations, travel, data collection and revisions can be substantial. Check what background information the buyer provides and who obtains missing surveys or approvals. If the notice is for qualification or a standing offer, assess the later ordering process as well as the initial application.
Your quick checklist
- Which disciplines and deliverables are included?
- Can the proposed team meet the stated credentials?
- Who supplies surveys and existing asset information?
- How many site visits and review rounds are expected?
