Start with a contract you can deliver
Choose a notice that fits your work, location and capacity. Read the scope, contract period, estimated value and procurement stage. An initial qualification application differs from a priced tender. Use Wallis Tenders to shortlist work, then read the current official notice and all associated documents.
Register with the buyer’s submission service
Many Irish public bodies use eTenders. Registration, association with a competition, downloading documents and submitting a response happen through the buyer’s named service. A Wallis Tenders membership does not register you there. Allow time to set up access and confirm the submission instructions before the closing day.
Read the scoring before writing
Separate mandatory requirements from scored questions. Make a checklist of the evidence, declarations and pricing forms required. Use relevant project examples and answer the question asked. Ask clarification questions through the stated channel and monitor the buyer’s published responses and amendments.
Make a bid decision and submit early
Estimate the cost of preparing the response and delivering the contract. Check whether you can meet the programme and any financial or technical requirements. Have someone review the complete response, upload it with time to resolve problems and retain the submission confirmation.
Your quick checklist
- Does the contract fit our capacity?
- Have we registered for the correct competition?
- Are all mandatory requirements answered?
- Have we checked amendments and retained confirmation?
