Separate products from project services
Read whether the buyer needs licences, a hosted platform, development, migration or support. Search for the application area as well as software. Check whether the opportunity is open to tender now or is a qualification system for later competitions.
Map integration and assurance requirements
List the existing systems, data imports, accessibility requirements, security evidence and acceptance tests. Establish hosting, data protection and support obligations from the specific documents. Avoid pricing a standard subscription when the buyer expects substantial implementation work.
Cost the full service period
Include onboarding, training, maintenance, service levels, growth and exit assistance. Clarify licence metrics and renewal assumptions. Check intellectual property and data export requirements before committing to a delivery model.
