Use more than one search over time
Grounds work may be described as landscaping, grass cutting, horticulture, estate maintenance or vegetation management. The previews here start with landscaping and related classification terms. Try a separate grass or grounds search too; tree work and specialist habitat projects may need a different shortlist.
Check the seasonal workload
Compare the site schedule, cutting frequencies, growing-season demands and winter duties with your staff and machinery. Check who handles green waste, litter, chemicals and water. A large area spread across small sites can take longer than one continuous site.
Look closely at the site conditions
Read access restrictions, public safety requirements, slope or water hazards and any environmental constraints. Confirm whether the contract covers routine care, a one-off improvement project or both. Take account of mobilisation, vehicle storage and travel between locations.
Your quick checklist
- How many sites and visits are required?
- What changes between summer and winter?
- Are waste removal and specialist treatments included?
- Is the published value for a lot or the whole programme?
