Choose the kind of roof work you want
Roofing notices can include flat roofs, pitched roofs, waterproofing, guttering, inspections and responsive repairs. Search roofing first, then try a material or service such as waterproofing. A wider building maintenance notice may include roofing as one lot; check the full scope before dismissing it.
Price access as well as materials
Scaffolding, edge protection, safe access, surveys and waste removal can change the cost substantially. Check whether buildings remain occupied, what working hours are allowed and who carries the weather or temporary-cover risk. Do not treat a headline value as a measured bill of quantities.
Separate projects from call-out commitments
A roof replacement project and a responsive repairs framework need different capacity. Check response times, emergency cover, the number of properties and the geographic spread. Read the warranty and workmanship requirements in the buyer’s documents and allow time for any mandatory site visit.
Your quick checklist
- Is this a defined project or work ordered as needed?
- Are surveys, scaffolding and disposal included?
- Can you meet the emergency response area?
- What evidence, warranties and completion dates are required?
