Start with work you can deliver

Choose a notice that fits your services, province and available capacity. Read the contract period, sites and response stage. A request for information, a panel appointment and a priced contract ask for different commitments. Open all current documents before deciding to bid.

Prepare the required supplier details

The Central Supplier Database supports registration for businesses seeking government opportunities. Check your CSD details and the registration requirements in the specific tender. CSD registration and Wallis Tenders membership do not submit a bid or guarantee qualification. The buyer may also use its own supplier portal.

Make a document checklist

List the required forms, signatures, declarations, tax information, technical evidence and pricing schedules. Read the stated preference-point criteria and any B-BBEE or other evidence requested. Use the exact requirements for this competition rather than assuming that one previous bid pack will fit.

Submit through the named route

Some tenders require delivery to a particular tender box; others use an electronic service. Check the address, opening hours, envelope labels, file limits and confirmation process. Allow time for compulsory briefings and clarification dates, then submit before the closing time shown in SAST. Keep proof of submission.
