Check the grade and class of works
Read the stated cidb grading designation and class of works before preparing a detailed estimate. Verify your registration and any joint-venture requirements using current cidb guidance. Requirements are set by the actual competition; membership here does not establish eligibility.
Read the whole works package
Review drawings, bills of quantities, surveys, access and the construction programme. Include temporary works, occupied areas, safety requirements and utility connections where specified. Check who bears the cost of delays, missing information and changes.
Plan briefing and submission dates
Book compulsory site meetings early and check how attendance is recorded. Confirm the correct tender box or electronic submission route, signatures and required copies. Allow time to assemble pricing, declarations, technical evidence and any required guarantees.
Your quick checklist
- Does our cidb designation fit the tender?
- Have drawings and amendments been reviewed?
- Can we attend every compulsory meeting?
- Are guarantees, forms and submission arrangements ready?
