Separate licences from delivery work
Read whether the buyer needs a product, development, hosting, integration or support. Identify user numbers, locations, migration and training. Search for the business function as well as software to find differently titled opportunities.
Map the assurance requirements
Use the tender documents to establish security, data protection, hosting, accessibility and continuity obligations. Confirm how the proposed system will be tested and accepted. Avoid assuming that a standard subscription includes the implementation the buyer expects.
Price support and exit
Include service hours, updates, capacity growth and any site visits. Check intellectual property, data export and transition requirements. If a specialist supplier or procurement registration is named, complete it in time and follow the stated response process.
Your quick checklist
- What is included beyond licences?
- Which integrations and acceptance tests apply?
- Can support meet the required hours?
- Are growth, ownership and exit covered?
